Ken is a Niceville, FL native who graduated from Niceville High School in 1978. After a brief stint in the construction industry following high school, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard, where he served for over 22 years. During his military service, he rose from the enlisted ranks to a commissioned warrant officer. Throughout his career, he worked on a variety of assignments, including Search and Rescue, drug interdiction, migrant interdiction, aids to navigation, and several others. These assignments took him to various locations throughout the United States and the Caribbean. While serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, Ken Wright was the Director of Military Housing Programs for the entire Southeastern United States, where he received the prestigious U.S. Coast Guard Meritorious Service Medal for demonstrating exceptional leadership, strategic insight, and managerial ability while serving over 3,500 military personnel and over 12,000 dependents in over 5 states. Ken Wright was also awarded numerous medals for his service, including many U.S. Coast Guard Commendation Medals, U.S. Coast Guard Achievement Medals, Special Operations Service Medal, and Humanitarian Service Medals.
Real Estate Ventures
After completing his U.S. Coast Guard Career, he returned home to Niceville, FL, and began a career in Real Estate. He was instrumental in creating and owning a new Real Estate Company, Turkey Creek Realty, where he served as Vice President. After several years and two companies later, the opportunity arose to grow his business and transfer his license to Coldwell Banker Realty. Ken Wright is a developer in addition to being a Realtor. He owns and manages various real estate in the area and assists in the development of a number of real estate projects in the area.
Community Involvement
Ken Wright continuously volunteers a lot of his time in the community. Most notably, he served as President (2011-2012) and Vice President (2008-2010) of the Northwest Florida Military Officers Association. Ken served as a board member on the Crestview Military Appreciation and Recognition Celebration Committee, which is instrumental in showing appreciation to the men and women of the military both past and present. He served as an Executive Board Member for the Distinguished Young Women of Florida, a nationwide scholarship program for Juniors in High School. He also served as an Executive Board Member for the Distinguished Young Women of Okaloosa County Chapter. Ken continually dedicates his time as one of the Founding Board Members for the Morgan Invitational Golf Classic since 1986. Some of his other volunteer positions held have been a Board Member of the Emerald Coast Marine Institute, also known as, AMI Kids of the Emerald Coast, a school for troubled youth, Board member for the Builder Industry Association of Okaloosa/Walton County, Supervisor for Heritage Plantation Community Development District, Supervisor for the Freedom Walk Development District, Member of the Economic Development Council, as well as a variety of committees with the local Chamber of Commerce and the Emerald Coast Association of Realtors. In November 2010, Ken Wright spearheaded the dedication ceremony for the Petty Officer Lonnie Jones Memorial Project at the Coast Guard Station Destin to recognize a fallen Coast Guard Shipmate, who died in a search and rescue mission in the waters of the Destin Pass. Ken Wright is married to the former Ms. Erica Knapp and has two children, Drew Wright and Madison Knapp, and a beautiful white Siberian husky (Kiva).
She started her career in the Mortgage Industry in 2001 and quickly moved from being an assistant to loan assistant, area assistant, and finally an accomplished mortgage loan officer introducing and marketing numerous mortgage companies to the Panhandle of Florida. Erica understands business and marketing, as well as, the importance of communication with the people she is trying to help.
After her mortgage career, Erica transitioned in 2010 to her true passion for marketing real estate. She began using her skills and knowledge to create a new website, listing presentations, lead follow-up, and daily operations. Erica continues to propel the company forward with the latest marketing resources and in-depth knowledge of the real estate industry.Erica was born in Panama City, FL. She moved to Alabama in 1992 but couldn’t wait to get back to the Emerald Coast! She has lived in the Panhandle of Florida since 2005 and enjoys painting, reading, running, and yoga. She has volunteered a lot of her time over the years in the local community. She was a Board Member for Shelter House, Board Chairman for AMI Kids – a school for troubled youth, 2008 Ambassador and membership committee member for the Niceville Chamber of Commerce, plus a former membership committee member for the Women’s Council of Realtors. She continuously volunteers her time to many non-profit organizations including Distinguished Young Women of Florida, Military Appreciation Recognition Celebration, Salvation Army Angel Tree, and many local Chambers. She is married to Ken Wright and has a beautiful 17-year-old daughter and a White Siberian Husky (Kiva the Diva) that keeps their life fun & always interesting!
Dee grew up in a small town called Phoenix, New York located in upstate NY. Her father was a 52-year Fire Fighter Veteran and her mother retired from General Electric (GE) after 47 years. She graduated from Phoenix High School in 1981. She met the man of her dreams in 1986 at Charleston Air Force Base. As a military spouse since 1988, Dee started her Real Estate career in 2003 as a receptionist and worked her way to an assistant property manager within 1 year. She received her Real Estate License in 2005. Dee continuously stays up to date with the most current designations such as earning the Florida Military Relocation Specialist and the Certified Property Manager. She has received many awards such as the $2 Million Club Award (2016), Bronze Certificate of Achievement (2016), Silver Circle Award (2015), Silver Circle Award (2014), Top Listings Individual (2012), Top Individual Transactions (2012), Top Agent of the Year (2011), Top Listings Individual (2011), Top Individual Transactions (2011), Performance Plus (2008), Top Listing Agent Individual (April 2007), Top Sales Agent Individual (April 2007), Outstanding Performance (2007), and Volunteer of the Year – Ahlhorn AFB, Germany (1991).Dee believes in serving where she lives. She has been an active volunteer locally as a Board Member for the Charles Mason Hupp Scholarship (2008 – Current), Committee Member for the Annual Turkey Bowl (2008 – Current), plus Dee is a lifetime VFW Auxiliary Member (1981 – Current). She notably served as a Youth Volunteer for St. Mary’s Catholic Church (2010 – 2012). Dee has a love and passion for Soccer. She donated her time as the Choctaw Soccer Parent Manager (2006 – 2012), Choctaw Soccer Fundraising Committee (2006 – 2010), PASA Treasurer (Playground Area Soccer Association) (2005 – 2008), WAVE Travel Soccer Fundraising Committee (1999-2006), WAVE Travel Soccer Tournament Board Member (2000 – 2005), and WAVE Girls Travel Soccer Team Manager (2001 – 2004). She also served as an OVAL ART Volunteer – Shalimar Elementary School (2000 – 2003), Cub Scouts Leader – Shalimar Elementary School (1999-2003), Girl Scouts Leader (1999-2000 Shalimar, FL), and as a Girl Scouts Leader (1989-1991 Ahlhorn, Germany).Dee is married to Michael Sufnar and has 2 Children: Aaron and Amber Sufnar, as well as 1 Golden Retriever, Chester. Dee is grandmother to two precious baby girls, Adelynn and Gwendolyn.
